At The Spicy Librarian, we believe romance is for everyone. Stories have the power to help people feel seen, understood, celebrated and safe, which is why LGBTQ+ representation is something we champion all year round - not just during Pride.
Across our store you’ll always find LGBTQ+ books, authors, storylines and recommendations highlighted with rainbow bookmarks and stickers, or you can ask one of our team for a recommendation.
From queer romance and sports romance to romantasy and stories of identity, love and self-discovery, we’re committed to creating a space where every reader can find themselves on the shelf.
This Pride, we’re supporting Galop, a UK charity doing vital work supporting LGBTQ+ people who have experienced abuse, violence and discrimination.
In partnership with Chiltern Railways, we’ll be hosting a Pride pop-up at Birmingham Moor Street railway station from 9am–4pm on Saturday 23 May, showcasing a huge range of LGBTQ+ literature alongside exclusive Pride Spicy merch.
